I installed a race air filter and my 2010 XB1200 really woke up, more revvy but more viby. I heard the Drummer pipe will make even more vibes and add performance. Is this true? |

Um...lets see... 1. You allow more air in...but don't give it more fuel...!? 2. You want to put a free'er breathing exhaust system...don't give it more fuel...and are asking if will make it vibrate more...!? Come-on, you gotta be smarter than the machine. Mike |

Air/fuel/exhaust If you change one, you need to change them all. |

Check out American Sport Bike's exhaust shootout....I beleive they tested the drummer & drummer ss with a highflow filter ( open airbox mod) and a stock ecm..........If I read it correctly it made more power/torque with the stock ecm than it did with a race. I personally ride a 04 XB12R with the drummer ss & a highflow buell race filter and a stock ecm. I have had no issues with running lean (that I know of), running hot, popping on accel/decell......seems just fine to me and is more fun to ride. Im sure a "custom" tune and dyno time would liven her up some, but Im happy with her the way she is. |
