My Buell was in the shop at the time of our planned trip to the dragon, so I took the FZ6. I have more respect for that bike now. Corners like a dream, but not as nice as the Buell. Good tires and big balls, helps. LOL.

I like the FZ6's. I had an 04 model for a couple years a while back. Great do it all bike. Awesome highway bike!! I love my XB, but if I'm on a longer highway run, I start to miss the ole FZ. I'd taken the FZ through some corners much faster then I should have, it does well. But for an around town and back roads bike.... Can't beat the XB!! Although, when my FZ was bone stock I took a 4 hour highway trip, stayed right at 89 MPH and still pulled 56 MPG. ( laying on tank and only stopping for gas ) |

Heard that Rah7777* I had a similar experience, nice ride up there and over 50 to the gallon. Sitting up straighter does help without question, but I sure did miss the XB when I was in the Twisties. LOL.. Over all, I enjoyed the ride just as much as with the Buell, but I give the FZ (2006) cudos on the long runs. My son rode a 1987 Bobber 600VT Shadow the whole way. but he is 20 years old.. LOL.. He loved it. We're chopping that baby into a Bobber as we speak. photo below!
