For a while the bike's been squeeking like an old car with a worn belt. Idle pulley: good Belt: good I didn't find anything, and it's getting annoying. Well after perusing the KV I found a thread by accident about someone with the same problem. The exhaust gasket. The front had gone flat, and so had the rear. You'd think they'd be designed to last a bit longer than 70,000 miles...I digress So after a couple of hours at the Buell Barn, the right tools and some donated gaskets (thanks Charlie!), all's well! So if your bike starts to sound like a dying mouse at start up, and slowly goes away as the engine gets hot, you may just need an exhaust gasket. Thanks Charlie, for the use of the Barn, tools, gaskets, and most excellent company |
