ya darn.. i just flipped up the site to see that they have it for palm and not mobile :\.. I thought ECMSpy was shut-down-over, murder-death-kill ha, the program had to be passed along from others. well when you can find it, please send it my way

I recommend you pickup Tunerpro, it is more powerful than ECMspy, and is still being developed. Only downside is that its harder to use, so I still do TPS resets/diagnostics with ECMspy as its easier.

would you have a palm version around and reg windows? looks like i can have the palm version converted to mobile with the help from another program, but the chance of it working is not definate. my bike is chugging, and my best guess is that its the tps; it hasnt been reset since.... ever! so thats all im probably going to use it for. I might dab at tuning, who knows
the blue tooth will not work with the internal tooth. on the pda...
but if you get two 100% stand alone chips and sync them your in. what I did was use the RX,TX and grd for signal and feed the power from the %v line from the cable line on the palm. then it made the external standalone chip set live. these chips are aprox 59 to 89 bucks each and you will need two. one on the palm one on the bike.
if you use the pc side you can use any bluetooth because the pc has the firmware to make that side work. Much cheaper.
the program in the palm is not coded to link through the bluetooth lines data rate. its only works on the wired side.
unless something was changed in it but I dont think they did. Never know...
Ochoa... I have the files opened from the pal, just get the source code and open them with HB++. to convert to the phone a lot will be converted but its possible if you have a lot of xp. the hard part is the cable link in that circuit. I dont know phone circuits so I'm useless on help in that area. sorry...
the lowest cost chips are at sparkfun. make sure you get firmware embedded stand alone chips. I forgot the numbers I have a few here but I use them off and on.
as far as links you can also set up a USb shared server. this allows a computer somewhere else to see the usb on a different computer through the IP address.
so if you put the cable in the USb port I can see it. then if you hook to the bike I can fetch the data and burn from my pc to your bike from the program on my pc. you dont need the program just the cable driver and server with the shared port. any item on that port I can use be it a printer usb memory or ect. great way to send files from point to point on large files. I have been using this as well as the teamviewer where I get use of your computer from my end.
both ways are very nice to use.
one way you need the programs the other you only need to give the usb link. the program is in the client end on the gurus computer. once done the file burned and fetched can be emailed to you. this way I can use any buell program to link to any bike. or anyoone else can do it as well you just need to server/client program to share the usb over the internet through the dedicated Ip address. so if i wanted to scan a photo i can and it can show up on your computer if directed to do it.
nice feature is you have the server end once the session is done you remove access and poof its gone no more linky.
I can also do wifi links. so as long as the bike has signal from the wifi.(phone) I can see it on my end. Its Ip address dedicated as well.

the pda didnt work with palm spy, but i did get the program working with the pda, but it would not connect wit the bluetooth. I bought a bluetooth adapter a while back, and since it was never used i thought now I would atleast use it for something. But since its not a stand alone chip, im going to resort to the cable. http://styletap.com/ is the program for converting plam to mobile
as for getting ECMSpy connected to my bike, that did not happen either. I had troubles figuring out what wires go to the which pins because the dutche system has different colors for their cables than my usb cable. Mine has RED, WHITE, GREEN, BLACK. Only ones that should be used for this application are the white (D-), green (D+), and black (GND). kinda got a paint picture for visiual representaion of the pins and wires, anyone mind helping me out? because my wires are not orange and yellow? (USB/PIN) my wiring is (2white,1) (3green,3) (4black,2)
is what I have so far right? i have opened up the program and it could not connect...? all i need to do is install ecmspy and go, or are there drivers to be installed to read the usb interface?? I turned on the key to the bike, clicked the keys on the program. fliped the kill switch on; and then clicked the 'communications option' on the program.. the communications option leaves me with the only option to select COM3, autodetect does not find the bike either. and it should hookup? but no dutch system is flawed, ik houd niet van

No problem with that connector, you need a chip to translate between USB and the serial that the cycle uses. You don't just connect the USB to the bike.
look at 0:10.. what do you mean I need another chip? thats straight from the bike to usb port. Im checking out what your talking about and my computer does not have that type port. my computer has 4USB's, a monitor VGA, phone, ethernet, and S-video....
