I ordered a Diesel-Moto Tail Eliminator ... and it came SUPER Fast .. 2 days!! I looks really good ... although I'm not overly impressed with the fit. It is close but not to factory spec. Apparently Diesel Moto realized the casting was not exact because they warn you to use the included washers to prevent the housing from cracking when bolting it back on. The casting is about 1/8 of inch too narrow on both sides. Probably something only the installer will notice ... Functionally it is perfect though. I installed a single bar-end mirror I had laying around and removed the Mickey Mouse ears. Reflectors are gone and so are the Belt Guards. I highlighted the ZTL2 logo as well like on the 2010 models. I have a factory RSS on order with Surdyke .. says it will ship 9/30 ... so we shall see if they are on back order or not. I also have the ASV shorty levers from my CR ... ASV is chargning me $20 to change the Hyrdaulic clutch lever to the proper cable clutch lever. Here is the bike I am trying to replicate ... The Valencia I traded in on the CR. No $$$ for a D&D right now ... and turing is trickier with the newer ECM. (Message edited by dmhines on September 22, 2010) |

I agree. The 2009 blacked out frame, forks and engine are awesome. |

the all black cleans it up so much because it does not have a million different shades of grey and metal colors. That and I like the cherry bomb (which is why my 03 9r is black and cherry) |

I think the matching wheels really set it off against the old one. I always loved the orange translucids, but hated not having matching wheels! |

Not sure what you mean ... My 2006 had matching wheels .... or do you mean they are a ligher shade of orange than the plastic? (Message edited by dmhines on September 23, 2010) |

You need this too! http://cherrybomb.com/ But seriously, I checked and they're all a bit bigger than Magnaflow 11148, unless you get the glass pack. http://cherrybomb.com/products/glasspack Christopher |

Any tips for removing the reflectors? Might take off my chain guards when I do my tire swap next week, looks really clean with EVERYTHING (including the metal mounting piece) removed. |

Fork reflectors ... just yank them off .. double side tape on them. Loosen the rear directionals to remove the reflectors in the back. you will need to grind off the plastic nub on the lights after removing the reflectors so it sits flush. Chain guards? You mean belt guards right ? :-) |
