Hey does anybody know where I can get a lightweight subframe for my 12r? I've been searching and googleing with no luck. I know Erik Buell Racing makes one for the 1125, will that fit? Thanks |

I just tightened mine up. It's aluminum, isn't it? Once you take the passenger pegs off and remove the toolkit and license bracket, there's not much left in terms of weight. |

before buell was shut down I think they made one for the xb, I would say email Erik Buell Racing and ask them if they offer one or can point you in the right direction. |

In the 2009 Buell catalog : Lightweight Race Subframe L1090.08AZ and Battery Pan Y1576.09AZ just not sure if it was for the xb or 1125 or both? |

Flyboy I dont know why it wouldnt fit ? the taisections are the same EXCEPT the 1125R is a 1/2 inch longer at most . BUT being the race sub is shorter that BOTH anyway, It should fit. I have both bikes. ARE your racing your XB? dont forget the race subframe doesnt hold much as far as battery ect . AND you have to buy the underpiece or shave stock unit |

Thanks guys, I emailed Erik Buell Racing and they thought they might have a XBRR subframe or 2 kickin around. I asked about the 1125, but they didn't say if it would fit. I was just wondering if everyone just hacks the stock, or makes their own, or if someone else sells them. The bike is an ex RMR Moto St bike. XBRR frame and swinger. Stock 08 12 motor, and reworked forks. I was surprised to see the full subframe wireharness and switches instrument cluster. Heck I could almost slap a plate on it...lol. The plan is to put it and the rider on a diet. Heck if we can both lose 20lbs over winter, that's a heck of a change.

Awesome! I'd love to have that frame, swingarm. Mine's an 05 with an 07 swingarm which I've been wanting to chain but all I keep finding are the 05 and previous styles for chain. You can hack your subframe which is pretty much all a race style is. The 1125 sub has a different mounting arm on the upper left which is the reason it won't work(I wanted to do the same). I don't know how much weight it'll save you though, maybe a lb which I know can be a lot. I made my own sub which fits an XBsl seat which should net a couple of lb weight savings but I'm wishing I didn't as I think I'm gonna miss the room. |

Stojxb is there any way you could also post a pic of your exhaust? I am curious what it is. |
