SO, I just finished my 4th trackday on my XB9SX.I have a race ECM, pipe and a K&N. Other than that it's mechanically stock. So, after a few sessions of running between 5 and 7k rpm's, the bike won't idle and stalls out.Runs great on the track, and basically great after 2k rpm's. After my first pair of trackdays, I rode it to school for a week, which is about 15mi. on the slab at about 75mph. The idle came back to normal. Now after another pair of trackdays, the idle is weak and it is stalling again. I suspect it will be fine after a few rides. My question is: Does the ECM learn the track pace and alter itself accordingly? And will relearn how I ride on the street and alter itself for that also? |

ecm fuel map is out of balance. if you do a track day read the afv. then after a few days riding when its acting normal read it again. three fixes. fix 1 rescale the fuel maps so the afv will match or just reset afv to street value avg manually once the track day is over. fix 2 on track day turn off the O2 during that day. then turn it back on after you get done. But first know what the track afv is then add two points to it to be safe. reset back once done to street settings. fix 3 remap the ecm with datalogs so the afv is stable front and rear cylinders. call it done. |
