i currently have them on my bike. i kinda like how they look, but as far as functionality, not worth the money. to run the wires, you need to drill the fairing. not worth the money in my opinion.

Nice looking bike. I like what you did with the blue flames and stuff. Drill the housing!! not good, Damn.... That's not good. Could you send a close up of the wiring Where it goes through the fairing? \ Dankie! (Message edited by obiewan on August 28, 2010) |

well Obiewan, i didn't drill through the fairing. i would rather keep the wire routed around the fairing than drill a hole through it. i'm heading out with my girlfriend on it in a little bit. i'll take pictures before we leave and i'll post them once we get back. as far as the flames, i made and cut them out myself out of reflective tape i got from work. i'll post a couple pictures of the rest of the flames later. back to the mirrors: they vibrate a pretty good bit up to about 3000 rpms. after that you can actually use them. lol. i don't really need the mirrors because i ALWAYS look over my shoulder before changing lanes or turning. |

Shoot, that's not bad at all. Too bad they shake a bunch. Camera looks good, flames look GREAT. Good job!!! I'm tossed up between those mirrors that you have and getting some flush mount blinkers, and go to bar end mirrors. I appreciate you help and the trouble you went through to post the pics. thanks again. I'll let ya know what I decide on. Dankie Ody |

I loved my Napolean bar end mirrors for functionality but without the fairing mounted mirrors the front end looked kinda funky. My son wrecked my bike so since I had to rebuild the fairing and handlebars I was looking at those mirrors also. Dhays1775- They look good on the bike, but can the turn signals be seen during the daylight and is the vibration worse than the stock mirrors? It's been so long since I've had the stock mirrors on the bike that I can't remember how bad they vibrate. |

it's a little worse than stock, but not too much. i'll post a pic or two tomorrow of the amount of light they put out so you can see what they look like. i dig them, but i'm not using the flush mount blinkers in tandem because they aren't bright enough together. one or the other, and i thing the mirror lights are brighter so i decided to go with those instead. |

and just so you know, i plan on going with block off plates and a bar end once i get back from afghanistan. i'll hook up the flush mount blinkers and say the hell with it. i white line a lot here in california, but i think i'll manage. ha ha ha

I have them on my 9S and they don't vibrate too bad (maybe because they are attached at the handlebars vice the fairing on the R?). Anyways, they are not DOT approved, so when I go to do my state inspection (Virginia), I have to mask them with electrical tape ... something about 'if they are mounted, they have to be DOT approved and work' according to the inspector. Just a FYI ... and you can see them on my profile. |

Good to know, although, there is no inspection in this area so that wouldn't be a problem for me... Dankie! |
