WOW I love this mobile 1. Just did the change to fully syn. in preparation for a track day and my bike is running awesome. I used the mobile 1 in both the motor and trans and it is also shifting like butter |

Are you using the Mobile 1 Vtwin? I've just been using the regular Mobile 1 Full Synth in my bike for the last couple of changes, not sure whether the clutch is not liking that, or the drag racing and wheelies I've been doing lately. |

Srwitt ......I think you might be damaging your bike by running regular Mobile 1 insted of the Mobile 1 Vtwin. Im no expert by any means but I wouldnt trust an oil not designed for the heat and abuse of a Vtwin engine. |

72rs, my bike has never run better aside an issue with the clutch (not sure its oil related or not). It ran noticeablly hotter when using the HD synthetic, and I've picked up a couple MPG (average) with the switch. |

Srwitt, I don't know your experience level, so please don't take offense at my line of questioning. 1.) Are you putting 2.5 quarts Mobile 1 Full Synth in the swing arm hole? 2.) Are you also using 1 quart Mobile 1 Full Synth in the inspection hole in the left side of the engine? |

There's no reason to use V twin mobil1 above their 15w-50 line for the engine as they both carry the required API "C" distinction. If your bike carried the JASO requirement then I'd go with the v-twin one - but the Buell was designed for the API "C", not the JASO lubrication requirements... and Buells have very low lubrication requirements. Think in terms of the requirements of a 2-stroke as that is the type of bottom end that the air cooled Buells have. |

Wrong oil in both holes: The right stuff is - Motor takes Mobil 1 15W50 Primary takes HD Formula + This has been discussed one or two,(thousand), times already. |

Actually either hole 20w-50, I actually called Buell and synthetic 20w-50 is now approved for primary as well. |

Synth Mobil 1 20W50 everywhere. Do NOT use Mobil 1 75W90 Gear oil in the primary. It works great as a lubricant (It's the same weight as the 20W50) but it will eat your stator in roughly 18-24K miles. |
