I noticed today my brakes lights are constantly on. I'm assuming a switch issue. I haven't cracked the shop manual yet, so I don't even know where to look for the switch(s). Any help, experience greatly appreciated! This is as dangerous, perhaps even more dangerous than having no brake light at all. So, I'm going to need to tackle it asap. Again, thanks in advance! |

Check the wires going into the brake lever. That's where the switch is. Also check the wires going into the rear brake servo. It's just inside the lever. You can't miss it. Disconnect the front or the rear entirely and you should be able to figure out which one is the culprit. |

On the front, you can see the switch if you look on the underside of the lever. The little button should click in and out. Maybe it's stuck 'in', that would make the light stay on. Same with the rear. Like Odie says, unplug one at a time and see. |
