Pro Italia is putting on a "Rebuild (Angeles) Crest" benefit ride this Sunday, the 22nd. And for those that for some strange reason don't really care about "the Crest"....Erik Buell hisself will be playing in a madeup band at Newcomb's Ranch (along with a few other "name" players. Unfortunatly, I'll be in a plane heading out of town again about that same time... For any that may go...let us know how it goes. Mike |

Looks like a pretty decent group heading up from San Diego/North County. Sorry you can't be there. |

I'm sure someone else has already posted, but it was a great day. We rode up as a group (SoCal Buellers) with 8 Buells (I think...) and 3 non. Met Erik at the bike show at Pro Italia - first time I'd ever met him and what a great guy. Rode Angeles Crest - hundreds of bikes... it was really cool to see. They had far more people show up at Newcomb's Ranch and it was a bit of a magic act fitting all the bikes in the available parking spots. Erik was wandering around signing helmets, bikes, taking pics, etc. Music was good, and he probably did 5 or 6 songs on stage with the band. Buells were WELL represented as at least one other SoCal Buell group showed up in force. Haven't seen the pics, but did a group shot of all the Buellers in front of the stage after the show with Erik. 397 mile day, lots of cool bikes, met a bunch of great Buellers, met Erik (now have a signed XB12Ss!)... not a bad day. Sometimes it does pay to live in Cali. |
