I am strongly considering selling my race exhaust and buying a different can. Not positive, not sure which one. My first though was to see how much the race exhaust is fetching on ebay. But no listing for completed auctions. Does anyone know about what these are selling for? It would help me make an informed decision on to switch or not to switch my exhaust. Thanks!! |

Since in my unofficial opinion it is less than worthless, you should send it to me, not an angel. |

If it's in pristine condition, no dents or scratches, it's worth $50 to me plus $25 for shipping. You asked.......... |

It's worthless in the sense that they no longer make it. It's priceless in the sense that they no longer make it. I loved the sound of mine. Sadly, the insurance company wouldn't let me take it off when I totaled the bike because I had nothing to replace it with. It's honestly worth what the market says it is. Put it on Ebay with a reserve of what you at least want for it and let her rip. I've seen them go for $300-$600 on Ebay. |

HR puff, thanks for the offer but I'll decline. According to Al's exhaust shootout, I wouldn't gain much if anything performance wise with a D&D. Thanks though. Firebolt,I do love the sound of it, just looking for a little higher performance. The rest a yinz.... are you guys on a field trip from the unfunny comic's rest home?? |

I think the day of the $400-500 race cans has come and gone. Some have not been able to sell them for $250. And why would they when Erik Buell Racing will be releasing a new one hopefully soon, and it will likely be about $250 for price...for a brand new pipe. |

I emailed Erik Buell Racing today and was told they have all the development done on the new exhaust but they are having issues finding a supplier for them. They are going to have a muffler and a full exhaust available. I was considering looking for a used race muffler but I'm gonna wait for the Erik Buell Racing unit and get the ECM and Muffler at the same time. I want a nice sound but not too loud. for the xb9, the only pipe that makes more peak power than the race pipe was the Micron Serpent system. Good luck finding one of those. |

It worth what someone will pay for it. Dont ask these guys just post it for a price that a little more then you think its worth and then let people haggle it down. Just like Buells they dont make them and some people would love to have one. They do sound great. At the time they came out there were not as many options as there are now. For the rest of your life remember the value of something is what someone is willing to pay for it, not what other people think who dont need or want one thinks its worth. |

I've bought 2 and sold 2. 350 is pretty much standard from my experience. All though, eBay tends to bring some higher numbers! |

A perfect condition silver ceramic coated one just went for 1300.00 on ebay last month, no joke. For all others 400 to 600 so far. I check ebay for buell parts every day religiously. |

I traded mine (silver ceramic) race can for a NEW Drummer SS and fairing brackets valued at about $700-$750. Its all in how bad someone wants the pipe as to how much its worth. |

to me there is too many after market pipes still in production to justify paying $1300 for a pipe that sold for less than half that brand new. |

I am going to hang on to mine for now, and keep an eye on race cans that come up for sale. I bought a Jardine from badweb member Tblasier_mmi, I'll give it a shot, and see how I like it before I do anything with my Buell race can. |

Based on my experience I can't see you liking the Jardine. You lose a crap load of bottom end torque and it sounds like crap. You will definately need to retune if you want any low end power. |

I did consider the lowend loss, but am attempting to make a trade off for a little more power around 4k.The American Sport Bike shootout indicates that the Jardine has a similar topend as the race with the added power in the 4k range. On the track, I didn't really get below the 4k mark, and as my skills improve, I suspect I will stay well above that. I hope the sound isn't too bad, IMO the race can sounds excellent. |

I think it would depend if you are selling the Race ECM with it. I'd pay the original $600 it sold for if that was the case. I had the kit on both my XB's and thought it was worth every penny. |
