Hi all... I've got a '08 Euro-spec XB12S. Ever since it's 1000mile service where my local agent flashed the ECM, it's been giving me hassles (they seem to solve on and then another one happens!). After the 2nd re-flash the headers started glowing when the bike idled for more than 40s on cold start (I was informed that this was normal...HARHAR)! Long story short I've given up on them and gone the whole hog and ordered US spec headers, Erik Buell Racing ECM, K&N filter, new Oxygen sensor and a Drummers SS. I've had the bike checked out and apparently all sensors are reading in spec and the exhaust intake leak test came back negative. I'm getting all the kit fitted in the next week or so (managed to find a new Buell mech!) and I'll come back with any results. Hopefully this will be of use to other Euro-spec DDFI-3 riders who have "difficulties". I'm hoping for a few more ponies (stock Euro-spec is 10Hp and 10Nm down on the Stock US one) and overall a less erratic bike. I hope to come back with some good news... |
