Can anyone tell me how to take the grips off a firebolt. Thank you |

I use a long skinny flat blade screwdriver. Pull the plug or bar end and carefully work the blade between the grip and bar/throttle tube then squirt WD-40 in the opening then work the screwdriver blade around the bar. |

Are they heated grips? If so the clutch side is screwed on... |

Firebolt, haven't done it on your bike before, but this has worked on others - heat them up a bit with a heat gun/hair dryer (carefully!) and then shoot some compressed air under the grip. Once it's loose, you can start to wiggle it off as you hit it with air. |

I agree with the kid. If your replacing them, cut'em off. |

yup cut 'em off last season I was going through a set of grips every month, needless to say I stopped using glue too. I still have bits of grip on there and its a pain to get the new grip over the bits of glue and rubber that I couldn't get off, I work at it each time I swap grips but there is still enough to cause a wrestling match when I put my grip on the clutch side. windex is what I use to help lubricate the grip when I slide it onto the bar and throttle tube but some use hairspray because it acts like a glue when it dries but comes of easily. |

You can also use rubbing alcohol to lube new grips for putting them on. Once it dries there is no soap or slippery chemicals left behind. SMART! |

I got rizomas. You just slip them onto the bars and secure them with a screw (which I lost riding today ...) |
