My front muffler strap broke yesterday. '09 XB12SS, 5300 miles. Got me to thinking, with somewhat questionable parts support, what spare parts might be worth having on hand? Obviously I'm thinking a front muffler strap, header to muffler clamp, maybe a clutch cable. Any other suggestions? I'm thinking fairly inexpensive parts so I don't have to wait a week or two to get back on the road. |

i have been stocking up on some parts, mostly from here or e-bay. nothing too expensive, just some things that i think i might need later on down the road.. cooling fan muffler clamps foot pegs brake & shift pedals spare motor (kidding) i plan on keeping my buell for a while. like you posted, it would be interesting to see what other people keep on hand. |

For XB12S Turn signal lenses ECMs seem to be one of those electronic devices that fails right away or goes forever, but it would sure stop you in your tracks if it went bad. |

Foot pegs for sure, if you still have the stock ones. Those things snap in half if you so much as give them a dirty look! *pow!* ~SM |
