Hey all, I'm at the office and don't have my parts manual - need the number for the rubber battery retaining strap for an 09 XB12Ss. The metal clip ripped through the beefy rubber end nearest right side frame rail. Not a big deal, dealer will replace under warranty; just want to make sure they have the part before I ride over. Thanks in advance! |

Thanks Froggy - who would have guessed that YOU would have a part number? Do these break often? They seem to be under a good bit of tension; I might use a big zip tie or something to help alleviate some of the stress in the future. |

There was a thread about 2 months ago ranting over breaking battery straps, and before that I never heard of it happening. |

Maybe a bad batch. |

Yeah, that was my thread. I also broke the replacement in 5 minutes. I suggest making your own. Nick |

I just came back after getting it installed after lunch. I felt the need to apologize to the service dude for bringing it in for a battery strap... Guess I'd best keep an eye on it. Not sure the battery would move around much, but no need to be causing any self-inflicted intermittent ground problems. |
