I'm gonna try to detail this as much as possible. '06 xb9sx open airbox, k&n, breather reroute, race ecm(non Erik Buell Racing) Zero issues in 4 years and all symptoms i am about to give are new. While commuting home about 2 months ago at highway speeds my bike began to form a stumble. It appeared to be when the throttle was held in any constant position. It was not changed by speed or RPM or gear. If the throttle was held at any one constant position it would begin to stumble. I suffered through 30+ miles of constantly varying the throttle to keep it smooth until i got home. I assumed i'd start simple so I performed a TPS reset and then took her for a 20 minute ride and all was well again. Problem solved! not quite! The next morning on the way to work about 30 minutes into my hour and a half commute it started again same as before. Constant throttle, any speed, any RPM. Once again i did the TPS and things clear up, but only for about 10 minutes this time and then symptoms returned. Over the last month i have checked a few common things intake, throttle butterfly, grounds, wiring harness. NEW AS OF THIS WEEK! I was on vacation last week and did not ride at all(very sad)due to the stumble. When i got home on monday from work i decided to ride no matter what the condition. I left my driveway made it about a half mile and the bike began to stumble so bad it was almost unrideable. I rode home and did the TPS once again hoping to get it back, but that was not the case. I did the reset and started the bike to set the idle. I set idle at around 1K and unhooked from my laptop. Over the next 20-30 seconds my bike slowly went form 1k up to 3k all by itself then down to about 600rpm then back up again. I got on and figured id go up the road......bad choice it does the same thing while riding!!! I decided to pull the race ecm and pop back in the stocker, just to rule it out as the culprit. Symptoms are the same. At this point I just wish it would throw a code, because i'm at a loss! I'm leaning heavily towards a bad TPS, But id prefer not to start replacing parts at random and hope for the best. Maybe i've overlook something. I just want my baby back!!! any help would be great, thanks boys!
