I picked up an 04 Firebolt last Friday. Quick question, the PO was using valvoline Max Life and I want to switch to Mobile 1 synthetic. Will this be a problem? Bike has 20k on it. Thanks |

I have been using Mobil 1 20W50 V-Twin oil in the engine and primary for the majority of the 20k miles that my xb has on it. The synthetic oil is a good idea for the high temps that the air cooled motor runs. I just realized that this could turn into another oil thread |

Welcome to the club . All i can say is that watch what ..Synthetic you buy . The manufacture only has to have 5 or 10% synthetic oil out of 100% to be called synthetic . Amsoil and Motul are 100% synthetic I pay8$ a quart for Amsoil but im a beleiver in good oil . PS I got the motul info 2nd hand but the people on this site are pretty savy |
