The term chopper came from the war veterans who bought army issue bikes and chopped parts like the fenders off.A chopper does not have to have stretched out forks.A chopper is just that.A bike that has been chopped up.
Firebolt, A shield of some sort (clear plexi?) would have been a good idea.
Boliver, I think that's more the definition of bobber. Getting rid of parts one doesn't want or need.
Brother in buells, I'm glad they stuck with the stock frame and not their original idea. Though it almost has a bit of a minibike look all squatted down.
I really dont see the need for changing the swing arm. I think the extra oil would have served them well unless they only plan to ride it for like 10 miles at a time. I do like that they took a buell and built a bike they loved out of it. Its still a buell its just a custom bobber/chopper buell. i hope you enjoy your creation.
I think it looks cool, the fork boots and the headlight mounted on the side give it a Mad Max look. If it were mine, I would definitely loose the frame pucks.
Brightbuell trojans and Twins have carbon fiber frame cover for the XB NOTE: one brand come sALL the way down to the bottom of the rail the others DO NOT . The CF covers that cost 160$ at Trojans are the long ones . PS you will see Carbon fiber covers from MDI and ECC on ebay which are Cheaper and the MDI units are good quality but also are 4 inches short
PS I also JUST found CF covers that look great and have vents also . HTTP://japan.webike.net. Note that they also have other BUEL PARTS YOU WONT FIND OTHER PLACES
