I'm gonna do the tail chop on my black 03 9s. Luckily I found a rizoma chop used. It needs a little sanding but is ok otherwise. I was planning on wet sanding it a little and hitting it with a rattle can. The one in the link below is silver but mine is black. Can anyone give me some pointers on what grits to use ? I'm not sure how fine to go, and I'm assuming it should be wet sanded. Does anybody think its worth the trouble to use a color other than black ? My original tail is a dark grey. I'm not sure how the colors available from americansportbike.com match up. I'm planning on using the rizoma license plate bracket and either the avio 21 or zero 11 blinkers. Probably the avio 21. But has anybody used these ? I think there's a black box that is attached to the blinker wire so I don't need to change a resister for blink rate stuff. But I've never seen the actual product so I don't know how big that box is. I'm not sure if I will have problems fitting them under the seat. Any tips, suggestions are greatly appreciated. Feel free to recommend any different parts or suppliers. I've never done this so I'm figuring it out as I go. Thanks. The grit depends on how bad the paint/aluminum from tail piece is! And you can make your own plate bracket, something like this!
