I am looking for a more comfortable seat for my 12R. Top on my list is the Buell custom seat but I know they are hard to come by. Please give me your input on your experience with Corbin or Baldwin seats. Why did you choose one over the other? Also pics would be appreciated. |

I heard that American Sport Bike is either making or now selling the Buell seat, the extra padded one. Might check there. |

American Sport Bike is working on a deal to sell a seat. If you go look in the 1125 area there is a comfort seat thread. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/562382.html?1279128209 There isn't a set price or vendor yet. |

Nice link Wildman4x4nut. I went on Saddlemen's site and they make some pretty nice sport bike seats. I just don't know if I want to wait for them to make a deal. Also I was interested in a custom seat wrap to match my blue and white Bolt. I have been looking around and comparing for days and have pretty much decided on a Baldwin. What are your thoughts on getting a gel insert? The seat already comes with memory foam but they can cut some of the foam out and insert the gel pad. I just don't know if it would be worth it comfort wise. Has anybody else used a gel seat? |

I have the custom seat. It is only marginally better. Looked at some custom seat ideas but they would really just be guess work for hundreds. Opted for bicycle short liner with pad for $50. Next day rode from London, On., to Ithaca, NY, in four sections. Longest section was 180 km. Very comfortable and well worth the money. |

I have the select seat, and it's night and day compared to the stocker. |

I have a custom seat. It's a bit taller then stock and a little more comfy. I use it for long trips. But for track Riding I use the stock seat. I sit lower on the bike. |

Yeah I was worried about seat height as well. I think I'm gonna go for the gel pad inserted into the stock seat so I can have more comfort but no additional height. Anybody do the gel insert? |
