Got a couple of questions before I get into putting the hids in.I got DDM tuning 1 35w 1 55w kit with two relays.I am gonna go by a previous thread in the KV for the install that Jeepnbueller posted. I have the heat strip heated grips on my bike already, will running grips on high with the hids cause any problems?I am also thinking about adding a accessory plug for heated gear while I'm at it.Will this be ok?I will be switching the yellow and orange wires in the stock wire harness to get both lights on when on high beam. Will both hid lights on at the same time cause any problems if the grips are on also? Thanks for any help. |

once the HID's are lit, they draw less current than OEM's. if in doubt, you could run a seperate power line to the HID's. since you got relays, i don't see why you wouldn't go ahead and do it up properly. and feel free to run one for the heated gear. just make sure to fuse all these hot lines. i'd say the relays are not necessary, but it's not wrong to use them. YMMV |

I ran dual 50w HID's, Dual 55w PIAA aux lights, Buell heated grips, Garmin Zumo 550, Garmin XM receiver, Veypor VR2 race computer, HTC Touch Pro phone, Gerbings heated jacket and heated gloves, and an electric cooler. No issues (as long as I wasn't idle). |
