I was wondering if you could fit a digital speedometer on a 06 xb12r from a 1125r or other aftermarket cluster? |

Devallx, I just had this same conversation with some of the folks from Erik Buell Racing (I'm always amazed at how available these guys are!). Unfortunately, fitting the 1125 cluster is difficult on DDFI2 bikes. With DDFI3, the communication protocol changes from discrete to CANbus. If you're unfamiliar with the differences, it basically equates to a major change. Discrete uses many wires to send signals whereas CANbus uses only a couple (depending on the system). As such, the only 'easy' way to get the 1125 cluster to work is to swap to DDFI3. Even so, I'm not positive how plug and play this will truly be. Aftermarket, like Froggy has, is your best bet for now. |

You can fit other aftermarkt clusters to the XB12 although you may lose some functions such as the engine warning light etc depending on which units you use. I have used MotoScope instruments on our race bikes and have sold a lot to Buell owners too. They have various styles available from mini to Classic see here http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/prods/pc6.html And all our top quality parts
