So, before I change my oil, I want to do the 3-step seafoam cleanse. I'll put it in the fuel, oil, and then change the oil in about 100 miles. But for the intake portion, where should I put it in? Worked well for the car, figure it wouldn't hurt after almost 20k on the bike. |

You could remove the airbox and snorkel to pour it in while its running. Also while you have that off clean the butterfly valve and TB using a rag with some carburetor cleaner. |

The fuel tank to do it right..! I use another brand...but use it every time I change the oil. Just figure out the amount for the small tank size and use it for three days/tank fulls. Mike |

Among other things, like cleaning carbon off valves and cylinder heads, it cleans fuel injectors and is a gas stabilizer. I run some through my tank about once a year, usually at the start of the riding season, just as a matter of routine maintenance. |

Yeah, just a general clean-up. I just follow the directions on the can, and I haven't had a chance to fill up and put it in. I put it in the oil, rode it around for about 100 miles, and just changed the oil. Seemed to do some good. Haven't seen oil that black in a while, so I think I might attribute it to extra clean-up. But maybe its all just mental... I'd be interested if there was a side-by-side test to see if it actually does anything. |

SeaFoam, or any fuel additives, into engine oil surprised me. Who woulda thought? Air-cooled big-bore engines will deposit layer of carbon on cylinder head, piston, and valves. I try to buy Chevron fuel for its Techron additive. SeaFoam, Techron, products like these help remove that carbon buildup, IMO. |

"SeaFoam, or any fuel additives, into engine oil surprised me. Who woulda thought? " It's not a fuel additive, it;s a motor treatment...made for fuel, oil and even dumping down the carb/throttle body! |

My oil is always black when I change it. Why is that, it is never that way in my cars? |

It could be heat. In my limited experience, water-cooled motorcycle engine oil looks/feels like car oil at changes. |
