I have an xb9sx and got the POS seat that came with the bike (I think it is called the skyline). Anyways, I wanted to get a new seat, preferably one that didn't make my ass feel like it was pounded by a 300 pound gorilla after a few hours of riding, but I don't know what to get. I asked my nearby Huge Douche (excuse me) Harley Davidson dealer about getting a select seat and they said it was an obsolete part. I searched badweb and couldn't anything. There are a bunch of threads about corbin seats. I don't want one of those because I would like to leave the seat on and be able to have a passenger. I don't know if I should look for a street fighter or a select seat though. Is one better than the other? Which one is better overall for both solo and tandem riding? Is the v-notch in the select seat even comfortable for a passenger? And where do I pick one up? (besides HD, since apparently they can't get one) |

Check the classifieds here, Craigslist and ebay for the select seat. That's all I can help with there. Maybe one of our sponsors can locate a new one for you in someone's left over Buell inventory? I found a nice SS seat for my STT here and got it for an excellent price since it needed a new cover. |

Baldwin seat may be a better option. I have never sat on one personally but Ive heard a lot of good things about them. They use the original pan. |

Any shop can make what you want with the original pan. |

+1 on Rpm4x4 and Gunut said, you have any seat customized, they'll replace padding with gel to make your bum feel better, raise/lower the height. Give Baldwin or any other seat customizer a shout. |

email me at cthagreekgod@hotmail.com. I have a select seat in near mint condition that I am not using. Maybe we can work something out. |

I sent a spare seat to Kontour Seats. They do a fantastic job. Check the review on webbikeworld.com where they tested it on a Ducati. I couldn't agree more. I now have 2 seats from them because they work. One on my vrod and one on my Scg. You get what you pay for and these aren't cheap. |

I was in the same boat with wanting a select seat and not being able to find one. Luckily after constant searching I found one here on badweb for a real good price a few days ago. I loved the select seat on my old lightning (which is now gone)and could ride forever in comfort. These new seats suck d*ck. 45 minutes in and my tail bone is in serious pain... |
