Somebody asked me "again" today if I was going to change my exhaust. I told him no, that I was still breaking it in. "Well it's the cheapest mod you can do to improve the performance." Well, I'm not making any changes any time soon. Why are people so quick to want to modify their bikes? Man, let me have fun with it as is. Dang, as far as I'm concerned I'm happy as can be with the power on it right now and I haven't been able to open her up yet. I did say that when I decide to do it, if I do, I would more than likely put a Drummer on it. Of course he hadn't heard of it. I didn't have time to explain anything other than I wouldn't consider making any changes in performance until I had at least 1000 miles or more on it. Everyone here that has had, or still has a Drummer really seems to love it. I've read what it can do, but it's great to know what others think of a product before buying it. Ya'll keep me informed on how the Drummer keeps working for ya. |

Over 4000 miles and still laughing, wanted sound, didn't need more power, but got both. Kevin knows his stuff...can't remember how the original pipe went but definitely not going back there! |

I'm waiting for Kevin to return so I can get my drummer. After posting "nasty note with a minimal lose", I spoke with a few manufacturers, including kevin at drummer, and decided. I felt a little like "southern marine" in that I felt the bike lacked no power. But, having owned a few other big twin sports, I have been ready for a nasty exhaust note. EVERYTHING except the drummer causes a drop in hp and torque below 3500rpm. The bike was designed around the real world... where it is fun to deliver a massive amount of torque at the bottom. So , It was important to me not to give that up. I took the Freddie Spencer racing school not too long ago, and I had a multitude of bikes to choose from... including Buells with and without "stage one" packages. While I could feel more power at the top on the bikes with the "stage one" kit... when it came time to do the oh so fun creeper wheelie, the required bottom end was harder to find. Being that I dont care if you beat me on the back straight with your added top end hp, I only want a nasty note with minimal loss. The drummer does one better.. a nasty note with gains all the way across the chart. I can't wait |

Torqer ... " felt a little like "southern marine" in that I felt the bike lacked no power. "... I don't think the 12 doesn't have power, hell, jumpin from a Blast to a 12, it has more than enough power for me right now. I thought what I said was that I'm enjoying it as is and if I do make any mods in the future I will very seriously consider The Drummer. I Love my 12R and think there is plenty of power, at least for me for now. |

"lacked no power" = "plenty of power" "lacked power" = "I want more!"
