It's going to be tough to get them out. I tried to carefully pull mine once to spruce them up. They snapped on me. I ended up just pulling them both and leaving them off. It looked good IMO. Tape off and cover the front of the bike. Hit them with some spray paint could be an idea. |

WD40 cleans up the dullness for a minute. But not much longer I been meaning to replace mine with some CF ones for a while now but still haven't found any cheaper than 130$ a pop. |

They will snap if you look at them cross eyed. I masked of the area after removing them and painted that area black with Krylon Fusion, looked pretty good. |

Firebolt32 and Hogs, Have you had any issues with melting the plastic around the lights? I remember reading about that somewhere on here. I have seen pics of a firebolt with the bezels replaced by screen painted black, thought it looked pretty good. I just don't want to melt my fairing. |

The back to black will work well. I never thought about doing that. I've used it on trucks I had in the past to bring back the color in my mirrors. Worked really well. |

The projectors act as magnifying glasses-esque effect in direct sunlight, I have slightly burned/melted paint just below my headlight, on the little "shelf" of the projector hole. You can bareley see it, but I also don't have headlight bezels (still no clue if they fit my sharkskinz fairing). If this is a problem, ya'll can use high-temp BBQ paint on whatever part to keep it from melting. |

A trick I learned from my old Honda was massaging vasoline into "greying" black plastic will bring them back to a nice color. Just get some on your finger and massage it into the plastic like lotion. It'll last for a while, and vasoline is something most people have laying around anyway. |

Use a heat gun or hair drier to soften the double stick tape that holds them on and be patient with a flat head screwdriver and they pop right off. You can use electrical tape on the screwdriver to avoid scratches. |
