ok new questions. One I have never noticed this before but is it normal for the head light to only come one when the bike is running is this normal? Also my tail light is acting weird, it does not come on and the rear brake light does not work but the front brake light does come on. (Message edited by firebolt020283 on June 25, 2010) |

check the connections under the seat by the frame rail and use a test light to see if you have power also check fuses |

I went out there and the regular tail light is just the fact that one of the little springs inside the bulb is broke but I am still stumped as to why the rear brake light is not working so I will wait until I change the bulb just to make sure that is not the issue with it as well. |

Follow the wires up from the rear master cylinder and there is a two-pin inline connector (don't know where on your model but it is under the ECM wiring on a Uly). Disconnect this and bridge out the two pins on the bike side (ignition on) and that will isolate the issue to either the wiring on the bike side of the brake switch/wiring. It is not unheard of for these pressure switches to play up. The front brake switch is a mechanical microswitch set-up and the rear is a pressure switch operated by the brake fluid. |

ok so if it is the switch that is bad how much of a pain in the butt is it to change? Is it going to poor brake fluid all over the place? and am I going to need to bleed the brakes again? |
