So does anyone know if the stock 2010 scoop makes much of a difference over the 08? and does it use the same bolts? |

they use the same bolts. I have the 2010 short scoop on my bike and i think it helps a bit. Others have used the scoop from the comfort kit and they really like it and say the fan runs less. I installed mine before I really got to do much riding with the original scoop, so I don't know how often my fan came on before but the only time my fan comes on now is when I park my bike. |

I installed a 2010 scoop on my 09 Ss. I haven't done any timed comparisons or anything, but... I pulled up to a suspension class after I'd installed the scoop. Another Bueller was already there with the same 09 Ss. He was already off the bike, gear off, milling around - not sure how long he'd been there - but his fan was still on. My fan shut off before his did. Certainly was several minutes better, but can't give you an exact figure. |

I put one on my '04 Firebolt and only recently have had the fan run after stopping here in the midwest. And have noticed that the family jewels are a whole lot more content while riding on warm days. |

Brightbuell is running one of those very expensive right side scoops ($350). The official Buell one can be bought for about $53 from American Sport Bike. http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/A17360.html |

here is a picture of it with the ugly one on it. I would show what my bike looks like now but between yesterday and today I have managed to completely dismantle my bike trying to find the short in my bike described a few post down.
