Tried to install my HIDs with relay harness in my Xb9r last night, fail. Now cant even get stock headlights or turn signals to work. I have the service manual, and yet I can't find the headlight harness diagram, ya know everyhing that goes under the triple tee. Can someone give me a page number or something?

Thanks Terry!!

I actually got the 03 service manual from the previous owner, the one with the blue cover.

I recall having a diagram of where the ECM connector was, headlight harness and all that and yet I can't find it again. I need to take a pic of whats under there, I think might have the dual headlight mod? DIdn't know that both headlights were supposed to stay on when I hit the high switch, figured that was like that stock.

Thanks again Terry!

Have you checked the fuse?

Thanks Terry, yeah I checked the fuse. Blew one of the 7.5 ones in the box on the right side (right side as sitting on the bike). Replaced that and think something is grounded under the headlight area. I'm going to go take a pic now!

Terry, I forget to connect the ground wires to the headlights, do you think this caused the short??

It's possible the wire touched something causing a temporary short.

Most people skip disconnecting the negative side of the battery before starting electrical work and end up with melted wires or blown fuses. This should always be the first step.
