2007 XB12STT 8500 miles I want to do my 10K maint in July (before a major road trip) and I'm not sure how much this will cost or what really needs to be done. Does anyone have a itemized list of what has to be done @ 10K? Assuming I didn't do the 5K... |

Check your owners manual or service manual for the details, but you are looking at oil and filter change, primary fluid change, primary chain adjustment, TPS reset, adjust clutch, fork oil change. Inspect belt, tires, sprockets, brakes, air filter, and critical fasteners. http://www.buell.com/om/99474-07Y_en/file-13.asp#s ection9 |

But since you missed the 5K, you have to do all of that twice. |

You would have to contact your dealer for a quote, but you are looking at an easy $500. |

Get a service manual, a tool set, a few beers, and a few hours, and yer all set. If thats your thing.Costs less than $100 to DIY. |

I skipped the fork oil change to save a few clams. I'll do them at 20k. |

I skipped the fork oil change to save a few clams. I'll do them at 20k. I said that too. I now have 26K. ...ahhh heck, might as well wait till 30K now. Damn thing still rides fantastic. |

It all depends what kind of riding you do for the fork oil. 80% of my commute is a straight line. I have no track days (I would if money allowed), and fairly decent road surfaces with 13k on my bike. If you do a weekly track day, change per service manual. I'll change mine the next time I change the front tire, which will probably be by the end of this fall. |
