Hey Guys, I have a 2009 XB12Scg and it came with Pirelli Diablo tires (new). I currently have 4,000 miles on them. How much longer should I expect these to last? What have others averaged? Thanks, Nick |

heck i dont expect them to last that long. thats like asking how many miles per gallon someone else gets. it all depends on how you ride, where you ride, the speed at which you ride, and the type of surface you are riding on. i usually average a set of tires with my oil changes, IF they havent made it to the track. much less if they have obviously. |

Diablo Strada's are dual compound and usually last 7 or 8 thousand miles respectively.I believe the other Diablo's are a sport tire and 4 thousand miles means it's new tire time probably.Just my two cents.... btw:I am currently running the Strada |

Never seen more than 3k on any tire I have had. Diablos last a good 2500 or so. No burnouts but I ride it like its stolen, really. |

Which Diablo is on your SCG? My 1125CR got 7k miles out of the factory installed set of Diablo Corsa III's. |

Second year for my Diablo Rosso tires (per sidewall); XB12 + 200 lb rider & gear), 4k miles now. Rear tire profile is convex. Easily another thousand miles in 'em. This Diablo, he seems to go by many names. Thread above mentions, Diablo, Diablo Strada, Diablo T. Click or two & I'm offered other Diablos... Diablo Corsa 3 (dual compound), $160-$250 Diablo Rosso High Performance, $150-$250 Diablo Rosso Supercorsa Street, $125-$220 |

Pirelli has always made a good tire. So far the few miles I've put on the Mich. Pilot Powers have been good, they do seem to stick really nice, might go with a 2CT next since I do a lot more straight travel than leaned over travel. Might go with a 2 compound Pirelli though. |

Got 5500 out of my Stradas, then replaced them with Dunlop Roadsmart. I learned that road feel is worth more than tread life to me. Next set will be Pirelli Angels. |

Anyone know the difference between the Diablo and the scorpion Sync? Most notably the tread pattern. The Sync is a sport touring and the Diablo is a hyper/super sport. As far as preference goes I think it depends on your riding style. |

boilver, Strada's are not Duel Compound. Look at the Pirelli web site. They are single and for high mileage, not performance. I had a pair and hated them for cornering. Duel compound is for performance not high mileage OP, my orig diablo's lasted about 3500. My current Rosso's have about 3k and i need a new front. Will be going with them again or the Rosso Corsa's |

Both times I only got 3600 miles out of the rear tire on my corsa III's. That was down to the steel belt. The front lastest through both of those. Just put on the PP 2ct and I think I'm liking them. |

I really like Scopion Syncs. We have a lot of dirt/gravel on the roads in this area though. The set I had handled very well considering. The diablo Rosso is a VERY sticky very nice tire as well, though I got about 3500 out of the rear, and traded the front wheel off before I finished the front. I got the SSs used so I can't comment on mileage. |

I have been very happy with all the various Pirelli's I have tried. Scorpion Syncs on my XB - 15,000 miles best on a set Diablo Stradas on my XB - Currently at 12,000 miles, plenty of life left, will swap to Angel ST. Diablo Corsa III on my 1125CR - 7,000 miles on the first set, very happy with another set. MT 75 on my Blast - Currently at 4,000 miles, I suspect they have about 1,000 more in them. I have to replace my tires as sets as usually the front is 90% done when the rear is done. |

I only have experience with the scorpionse, backtire lasted around 9000 kms, front tire, with a lot of roundabout action around 12000 kms. |
