Curious, Is the XB9 stock can and header pipe the same as the xb12. It looks like it is in pictures. Does anyone know for sure? |

No, the header pipe is large diameter on the 12 and the 12's muffler is completely different with an internal butterfly valve that re-routes the exhaust through a shorter path at certain rpms. The race pipe may be the same for both bikes however, but I am not sure. Check Buell's website to find out. xbolt12 |

jason the pipes are different, and the headers are aslo but the collector is the same size. and for some reason the 12 muffler is a double wraped metal. The nine is not. don't know why but thats how it is. |

The Xb9 muffler I cut up was double wrapped metal too. Looked like it was done just to make constructing the muffler easier. |
