Does any body know what the temp sensor in the air box is for? |

One of the things the FI needs to know is how cold or hot the air is so it doesn't run too lean or rich. |

the ECM adjusts fuel injection parameters based on input from several sensors, including the Air Intake Temperature (AIT) sensor |

Just don't remove it, whatever you do. There are NO 'unecessary' sensors on your XB! We had quite a discussion going about DDFI and the IAT and MAF sensors (O2s as well!) a couple months ago. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=32777&post=239172#POS T239172 and http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=32777&post=240099#POS T240099 |
