Sup fellas, this is the other pete from the brag meeting monday night. Unfortunately last night as I was cruising down the road a woman in an icecream van decides to floor it out of a side street directly into me. My poor bike is totalled. So I guess this means I wont be making it to the vortex with you all thursday night. No broken bones fortunately, just a decent amount of road rash and some nasty wounds. See you all around... Pete |

Needless to say, I wasnt very friendly with her. She came up exclaiming "Oh! I didnt even see you!" and then claimed to the policeman that my headlight wasnt on, which we all know there is no way to turn the headlight off on the xb9s that I know of, and of course it was working fine. Anyway I told her I would prefer not to chat with her at the time, and no, I didnt even get a popsicle. Luckily both of my brothers were following me so I had friends on the scene immediately. |

"Oh! I didnt even see you!" We've all heard that one before. She was insured, right? Luckily both of my brothers were following me... That is one badazz cage! |

Have the police save your light (if broken) as evidence. It can be easily proven that it was on at the time of the accident by whatever crime lab. services your area. Just in case it becomes a issue. FTD |

Sorry to hear about the accident. Glad to hear your OK though. Sounds to me like she gave the standard cager response to an accident. "I didn't see you." Knowing full well she probably did. She just didn't judge your speed correctly and thought she could get out before you showed up at that spot. |

His bike is a total mess. He (you, Pete) was lucky to get out of the way. By the looks of your bike you were a second or two from being one legged. Post a photo if you would. |

Im having trouble getting the pic to post. I sent you(Pete) those two you had requested when you were over here, which btw thanks I appreciated the visit. Yeah she does have insurance, and the cop didnt bother putting that no headlight crap in the report as I understand it. So I will be getting a new buell on her . I appreciate all the support from everybody.

Christ Almighty - did you jump off before she hit it or something? I can't imagine getting out of that with scrapes and bruises - glad you're (mostly) alright, though. Stick it to her! |

Glad you made it out standing and able to exchange words with the mongoloid. "I didn't see you." Oh in that case, lets just forget about the fact that you almost F'n took my leg off, and that you totaled my bike. Would you like to come over for dinner? Bring your ice cream, b!@#h ! that crap pisses me the hell off

Yeah it makes me sick looking at pictures I took before it was wrecked. According to my brother I did push up off the bike at impact.. as you can see in the pics Pete posted for me that whole side of my frame is wrinkled and punctured. So I consider myself quite fortunate to have my legs still. She did'nt seem to have any remorse and even claimed that she "had the right" to pull out. I've given up trying to understand the depths of her stupidity, I'm just focused on that new shiny buell thats shortly down the road |

Damn man, It's amazing that you walked away. Consider yourself blessed. Maybe you can get a 12 out of the deal since a lawsuit may be justified for someone as negligent as this moron. On a totally less important note: It's amazing that the frame can take that kind of beating and still not leak fuel. Chalk another one up for the engineers at Buell. JT |

The irony in this is that the ice cream van probably had big yellow "CAUTION CHILDREN" signs all over it. Anyhow, I'm glad you came out of it okay, and I hope the claims process goes really fast so you can back on the road again... |

Impulse - The frame poured fuel immediately oil too. I had alot of fluid leaks at the time of impact. Yeah, after I stopped sliding I walked out of the middle of the road to the side, which had everyone freaking out, but I was ready to get out of the road at that time. I probably will go with a 12, not entirely sure yet. I sure did love that bike . I'm not planning on going sue crazy or anything, but I feel that I'm owed at least another bike and some extra cash for my poor aching body . Once again, all the support has been a real encouragement to me. For someone alot of you havent met, and some of you just met briefly at one brag meeting the response has been most appreciated. |

Glad your ok doesn’t forget about your gear. Helmets after impact should be replaced. The foam may have been compromised. Heal well, Tim |
