Tonight after leaving the local hang out my headlight cut out. It only does it at full lock with the bars to the right. When they cut off the hi beam indicator turns on. Anyone have any ideas?

Check the wires at the steering head.
There's a plastic shield over the area you want to check first.
There's also a lot of wire wrap as well.
A very simple task that isn't real easy.
I had a broken wire that didn't break the casing, so a visual inspection did not find the broken wire.
I'm sure others will chime in also.
Good luck.

Glitch's suggestion is a good start. Also check the actual connector at the harness. I had a lose ground and the cause was exactly what you described.

Use a multimeter to check the continuity and ohms of the wiring between the relay sockets and connectors.

I have had problems with the ground wire where it attaches to the bulb holder. The wire end was not getting a good contact, and the light would shut off from time to time. Replacing the female spade connector fixed it.

I found my problem it is at the main ground, my bike is still under warrenty so I am going to take it in. There is oil coming from the steering bearing, coating the ground wires and want them to check it out plus I don't want to mess with the main harness and make things worse.

This has happened on my 2007 Lightning XB12SS(Long)...

I cant see the ground wires in the location of your photo... do they ground elsewhere on the Lighting?
