OK, since I wrapped my exhaust I've noticed that I'm hearing more noise from the engine mechanicals and found one that makes me a little worried. Sounds like valve train and sounds like it is coming from the rocker box on the front cylinder. Could everyone/anyone take a listen and let me know if it seems normal? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00eFw-MuEow (might still be cooking) Bike seems to run fine except it is a lot rough right around 1800rpm. Idles fine, starts quickly, front and rear pipes get to the same relative temperature. Basically just wondering if I have a bad lifter or bad rocker. Sounds like most shim over solid lifter engines when they are out of adjustment, since these engines have hydraulic lifters you can see my concern. |

Have you made sure your header bolts are torqued properly? |

Not since I put the header back on, need to buy a better inch/pound wrench and check them again. Very sure the front ones were correct at the time, but I did think I heard a small leak along with the metallic tapping sound. |
