Erik and the 8 have been busy as everything. You must remember how much they have going on, and how few people there are to get things done. |

And how little funding they have to tie up into overhead (stocked items). That said, the more people buy, the better the cash flow, the more money available for overhead, which eventually leads to more money for R&D. |

How about everyone that owns a Buell send Erik Buell Racing $20. That'd be enough to get things moving and send a big middle finger to hd! I'd support this cause without thinking twice!! |

I would totaly suport that if I hadn't wrecked my bike last Sunday. That said, that would be a great gesture and would probably make headlines in the news. Not just saying this on my behalf (anyone who agrees with me chime in), but buell owners are among the nicest people in the motorcycle community! Great idea! |

So Erik Buell Racing is broke? Why don't they go for Chapter 11 then? |

Erik Buell Racing isn't broke, just having to play the "new business model" game. Balance in and out ya' know? I ordered 2 sets of Erik Buell Racing Pegasus airbox stickers and a small Erik Buell Racing decal for my truck last week so I could support Erik Buell Racing in some small way. When I got them in the mail I noticed that they came in a HAND WRITTEN envelope. That tells me they are a SMALL business. Oh, and the stickers are awesome looking with the new logo. Anyway, I'd be in for another $20.00 |

No, sorry, I don't know. Perhaps you can explain in more detail. If there's no more liquid money left, they are bankrupt, as this is the definition. If they are not, they don't need money. |

Id73897, Erik Buell Racing isn't broke. Just walking a fine line to stay in the plus on the money side. Very common for a new company to balance stock and delivery. Stagnant inventory is worse then not filling an order, running low is a good thing in reality(more detailed to explain then I have room for here). We are just offering to widen the cash gap a little on the plus side. Heck, if Buell went public I'd buy a bunch of stock. (Message edited by luxor on May 08, 2010) |

Maybe I'm too thick to understand that kind of business stuff, but as all delivery is paid in advance, I see no reason to give them money for nothing, especially as no one gives me money for nothing. Not even for the stuff I do "deliver". |

it's not giving him money for nothing, it's allowing him some working capital so he might be able to get some stock to sale. unofficially buying into the company with no strings attached. |

Gunter, no one is asking you to do anything. If you want something from Erik Buell Racing, then wait until it's in stock. If you've read the newest interviews with Erik, you'd know he's operating on his own money. H-D cut him loose, he's not got any support from them. He's not broke, but he's not so wealthy he can keep everything non-racers want in stock. |

To a degree it's like holding balloons underwater in a bathtub . . . . Erik Buell Racing has hundreds (actually closer to thousands) of items IN STOCK that simply need to be cataloged, photographed and written up to be put on the website. In addition the website is already ready for a major upgrade (anybody got a spare $40,000 laying around) and it's simply a matter of priorities. Things are really going well, the Buell that have raced have done incredibly well, and it's a daily process of putting one commercial foot in front of the other. Imagine if you'd just ordered $2,000 parts for your race the next week and were told that they hadn't shipped because Bob was busy working on getting the stickers on the website. One step at a time . . If something shows as "out of stock" I would suggest writing them. You'll get much more accurate information than simply posing it as a hypothetical question on the internet. Be certain . . . and it's just me. . . to use the subject line of your e-mail effectively. Be mindful that the daily e-mail traffic hovers around 500 which makes simply OPENING the e-mail a full time job. Thanks for your support and . . . reminding me I need to order some sticker and a brake rotor. Court |

Sometimes things go out of stock 'cause they are selling way better than you planned. It takes time to restock if orders flood in. Court and others are right the joint is tiny; if you need something send an email. If you are a racer and need something to make a race mention that. |

DDFI3 race ECMs should be in stock later next week. They need to be engraved prior to flashing and restocking the shelves. DDFI2 ECMs will be delayed a bit longer due to component part shortages at the supplier. The Erik Buell Racing fun bus leaves today for Infineon loaded with 1125RRs and 1190RRs so the shop will calm a bit for the next three weeks. We do have a nice stock of track day bikes for sale. Race prepped and ready to go. Check the site or FB page for pricing. Don't send money, buy decals! Apparel will be available soon too. Michael |

That would be typical for a race only bike that has had all the custom engine work done on it. He does say that he blueprints each and every one which is a lot of work and lots of rejected pieces if they don't fit specs. The track day bikes that he has are interesting since they are even less than the 1125R, must be pretty much stockers but would still be a fun machine out on the track. |

Also TI is having major shortages of components, if there are TI chips in the ECMs it could be August before they are available. Many other semiconductor manufacturers are facing similar shortages right now. |
