Dirty rotten, I love riding, I love East Tenn. roads. The weather here is perfect. Gout started acting up and has had me off the bike for half a week. I had to call in sick today and tomorrow. Good news is I got a hold of some endocin and will be able to ride to the doctors tomorrow. Knee's goin' down as I type and I can stand up.

My favorite roads are in England and East Tennessee and that road that goes over the Hoover Dam on the Nevada side. Oh, and near Martinsville, Indiana, Robb Hill road heading west from highway 67.

I'm jealous of the roads out there.
My favorite here is the loop from Genoa,NV to Tahoe to Dayton,NV. Kingsbury Grade (207), around the east side of Lake Tahoe, Mt Rose Hwy (431), Geiger Grade Rd (341) through Virginia City then to Dayton. I'd attach a map but I don't really know how to.The best part of the whole day is the 60mi. trip to get there via long straight desert roads with just enough small towns that you have to stay close to the speed limit. Can ya tell I don't really like the straight roads?

Glitch, with an opening post like that who can even compare. Its like showing up to a porno with a 4 inch wiener. All my favorite local roads are straight in comparison to roads in the Suches area. I do love the Suches area but wolf pen gap is lower on my list. Its fun but too much sand and gravel for my taste. I really like the Richard Russell and 129 south out of Wolf Pen Gap.

Within 20 miles of my shop, we have roads that have a total of about 104 cornerz.

Rock Ridge Road, Old Dade City Road, Green Pond Road, Lake Lowery Road, Old Lake Alfred Road, Cass Road, Crystal Beach Road, Country Club Road, West Lake Hamilton Road.

They are not in series and require a hop from one to another....but it is fun and if you get out early, the traffic is not a problem...of course, you never know where the traffic police will be...so when I ride solo, I may ease down a road, turn around and go back in a more spirited manner

There are some fun roads further north, like hwy 561...nice long high speed sweepers...but heavily patrolled at times..

Florida is not devoid of twisties...you just have to pick and choose....of course there are no endless miles of road like in Tennessee and Georgia....but we manage.

And yes, I plan to go to Suches one of these days just to see what it's like...

I really like the Richard Russell and 129 south out of Wolf Pen Gap.
Richard Russell is closed for now.
The winter caused the road in the higher elevation to buckle.
Too bad for now, but can't wait to ride the new asphalt!
129 is for flat out hauling ass, if you can get away with it.
It's most fun during the week, when no one is looking.
HWT60 is fun.

If there is a good road to be ridden.... I try to find it.

I'm from WV and host the WV Buell Rally so I'm always on the hunt for a road I haven't ridden.

When I thought it was in WV it might have made it on this years ride route.... but VA is a little far

Thats cool mang. My moms family originally from Morgantown (after they got off the boat).

You DO NOT want to ride in VA. They will rape you in tickets/jailtime. They're notorious for it. VA has tickets, MD you just get beatup, WV is nice.

While Wolf Pen Gap is a GREAT road, can I just say it is a sphincter-cramping experience to ride it after a heavy downpour the night before (i.e.- last Sunday) when lots of wet pea gravel gets washed into the road in many of the curves. Even worse that morning was highway 60 east of the Appalachian Trail crossing. That wet pea gravel is like riding across greased BB's. I think that's the slowest I've ever ridden that piece of road. Man, I wish they'd repave that section to get rid of the tar snakes.

You and me both!
I'd bet they're there because of the increased squid population.
hahah Glitch are those the sparking pucks?
Actually it's the joint from a prosthetic knee.
Unbelievable the fight he put up ; )
Will (Black_sunshine) works with prosthetics, and had a sample joint.
We quickly put it to good use!

That's exactly what I thought when I was up there a couple of summers ago. If there's a crack in the pavement for every tar snake, there are more cracks than pavement! It does look like they just randomly dribbled tar all over the road.

In that area 60 is so much fun, but I really like a screamin run up Blood mountain.

There are so many good ones around my part of East Tennessee I won't tell you where they are, I would rather show you!
