Since they discontinued the TT in 2007, I made my own.

You mean 2008 (last one built was in mid 2009), but all they did was renamed it to XB12SS and changed the plastics I did the same with my 06

COOL - but where's the rear half of fender? There's gonna be a WHOLE lotta ugly on the front of your engine thrown back by the front wheel. |

If you have two screw holes on the front of your lower tree, then yet. Yea, there is no back half of the fender, it was just the duck beak and the mini fork guards. |

Well darn..there looks be just single hole on the left side where the brake line anchors. There is a raised boss area on the the right side that could be drilled and tapped I guess? Maybe this is what the original poster did?? Looks pretty neat. |

No, all the SS models (and some other models) come with the screw holes drilled already. You should be able to just drill the hole and add some threads. If not you could swap out the lower tree. |

This is an 07 XB12S with just a single tapped hole. Drill and tap would do it. Anyone know the part number for the half fender? thanks! (Message edited by buford on April 12, 2010) |

I really wanted a ULY but am too short for it, so I built up the nine, ... its dressed out in bags and lights and racks now, Its way too heavy to be SuMo, more like adventure sport....or Uly - lite. |

I really like the TT but this is in my supermoto bike dreams. This is what I am planning on doing with my Yamaha WR426.

I'm clear on the SS suspension being carried over from the STT, but I am confused about one thing: Is the XB12STT the ONLY XB to share the Uly frame? I ask b/c the fuel capacity is bigger (Like the Uly) on the SS. (Message edited by jconnors on April 15, 2010) |

All SS, STT, X, XT, XP models all share the exact same frame. |

I'd like to tag onto Jconnors ? sort of. I have an STT and have test rode a Uly also. Why does an STT feel so much shorter in length than the Uly. I feel like my face is up with the headlights, where as on the Uly it feels more relaxed. Is there really no difference other than the flyscreen? I have Uly bars, pegs and peg hangers on my STT but it still feels very different than the Uly. Maybe the Uly rear frame rails allow the seating position to be further back? Sorry for the ramble! The smaller flyscreen is probably giving the illusion that you are closer to the front wheel. Also the Uly seats have a little more ass room, so you could slide back a bit further. Both the Uly and STT use the same sub frame rails, just the Uly one has different holes drilled in it for the tail section bridge. |
