Does anyone know if the Gel select seat separation problem been addressed? I read some posts in the past but I don't recall if the problem has been fixed. |

it has been fixed if you have reglued your seat no formal factory fix exists. It is rumored that they addressed the issue on the last batch of seats made, but that didn't help those of us with the poorlymade seats... |

i took mine to a local upholestry shop that also does motorcycle seats, they fixed it. the guy said besides the part that was coming un-glued, the rest of the seat was glued down like a mofo. he ended up cutting about 1/4" of the original foam out of the un-glued area and replaced it w/ new foam and re-glued it down. so far no probs. & looks good as new. the cost of being comfy & hating the way it looked was under $60.00.

So a person can pretty much count on the new seat separating? Don't feel warm and fuzzy about that! |

So a person can pretty much count on the new seat separating? Where'd you get that idea? |

I was looking at getting one from Buell? I guess that is a question I did not think about. I assume that Buell Still has some in stock. I will check with my local Buell dealership! |

Froggy, I did call and they said the seat was obsolete. They said that there might be one at a dealership somewhere and that he would check and get back to me. If these are obsolete...kinda makes this thread obsolete! |

Mike, how do you like your Corbin gel seat? Does it make any difference on long trips? |

Those aren't corbin, they're baldwin. Those who have them, love them, I on the other hand do not have one (but wish I did!) |

I agree Froggy, too bad he's not a sponsor... btw, why do some get a free pass on the rules and others not? Is it just because some pissed off the mods at one time or another? |

There are no free passes on the rules, he simply doesn't come here and advertise his stuff. He knows the rules and respects them. With the exception of a few people/sites, you can plug all you want. If you are advertising for them, then we will have a problem |

Sorry, I actually meant Baldwin instead of Corbin! I went to the site Mike posted. Is this site not a badweb sponsor? |

Currently Baldwin is not a sponsor (he sponsors another forum), not that it matters, I've seen his seats, they are fantastic. |
