In my attempt to boycott all things Harley, I was wondering what product is as good/or better to clean and polish my cherry bomb translucids. What would you recommend and where can you get it? Thanks. |

Plexus is quick, easy and comes out great. If you want to spend a little bit more time for extra shine I use Mothers Plastic Polish probably the same thing as Meguiars. |

Novus #3, #2, and probably #1 in that order. Skip #3 if the scratching isn't bad and just go with the #2. Use a non scratching cloth! Photex scanner wipes are the choice after using many different things. Throw them away often! Recently fixed up the clear windscreen on my 9R and it made a huge difference, think I only did the #2 on that part. I've used #3 and #2 on the stock white plastics and it is hard to tell the difference between the results from both products. Take your time and do it by hand as heat is the enemy!!! I should add that you can buy the Novus from US Plastics, you'll have to search for the Photex scanner wipes but I bet there is a place near you that could get them to you in a day or two. Get the big bottles, you'll need a lot if you want to do all the plastic. (Message edited by Greg_E on April 02, 2010) |
