Hiya Folks, I have a Drummer with 30 miles on it that I would like to sell for $350. No core exchange needed. There is nothing wrong with it. The reason I am selling is, it is too loud for the area I live in. Contact me if you want it. connar@drakestudios.com

Looks like from his profile that he lives in the Peoples Republic of California. He is lucky that he get to ride at all. |

Someone actually trying to sell a Drummer? Didn't think I would ever see that. Looks like I missed out on a good deal. Before you take it off, you should ride the bejeezus out of it in your neighborhood one last time! Mike. |

Ok folks, the Drummer has been sold. Sorry to those that missed out. It was first come first served. And about my area, I live in a small valley. With the Drummer you could heard me bike from any where in the valley as it echo'd. CHP pulled me over and I had to talk my way out of a ticket =\ My neighbors, who I like, talked to me about it. I do allot of night riding and they were not too happy with me at 1:30am coming home. This is all after one ride in and out of town. I have heard other XB's with the Race Kit muffler and it is quiet enough for me to get away with it. Oh well. --D |

bummer... you must live in some communist country. i have a drummer on my XB12, it is the quietest bike in town. i think we should cut that socialist state in half, cede the south part back to mexico, and rename the north half "south oregon". |

I think I would feel better about it if the person that you sold it to had put up a post with his intentions to buy. That way the time would be posted so that everyone knows that it was first come -first- serve. That's why I sent a email and put up a post. From experience buying parts from other boards, that is the normal procedure in order to ensure fairness to all. JR |

My apologies - I just sent him an e-mail when I saw the post, and then forgot about it until later when he wrote back to me. I did come back to post when it was clear that I was indeed going to buy it (I wanted to find out what shipping was and how he wanted to be paid for before giving him a definite yes). Looking forward to getting it, but at this point I'm not sure if it will be installed right away when I get back from Japan in August or in winter after it's been ceramic coated. |

Is the race kit really quieter than the drummer. When i hear Opto and his drummer at low speed and idle i am sure he is quieter than my race muffler? On the run I can't hear him over mine, so maybe it gets louder up top. Its the same race muffler on this side of the world,? isnt it?

Yes, there's only one race muffler - as to whether or not it's louder, well...I'll have both soon. Personally I'm more concerned with the mid-range power that the Drummer puts out versus the top-end that the race can delivers. Between the Drummer and an XB12 box top, it should feel pretty different from my current set-up. Maybe I'll take a sound clip of one, swap pipes, and take another one and we can all be the judge. That won't happen for a minimum 3 1/2 months, though, as my Firebolt's in storage until I'm back from Japan for good in August. |

August? Man, I hope they're treatin' you right. Not sure I'd wanna spend as much time as you have/are going to away from home. Sounds like the Little Blue Bolt is goin to be all ready for the Runnin o' th' Ridge! |

-=sigh=- August. Having the Firebolt in storage did give me the motivation to finally upgrade the Blast, though - runs like a scalded cat now and sounds leagues better. The Firebolt's getting a pretty extensive overhaul before hitting the road again. New belt, fork oil, fluids, tires, every nut and bolt gone over...if I can swing it it'll also have all the cosmetics done before the RtR tour as well - black body, Trojan CF frame protectors, red wheels, header, and Drummer. And if I ever remember to call Shazam a little something else, too. |

ok we shall rename southern cal thusly: henceforth it will be called "West Arizona", and will be a conservative island on the left coast. Motorcyclists, gunowners, and right thinking self sufficient citizens will be welcomed. English will be the official language of government, commerce, and will be taught in the schools. |

LOL...I'm spoken for, just stating an opinion. Mine wants a XB*S - but not until she's got a helluva lot more miles logged on the little (and cheap/easy to fix!) Blast! |
