Youd think that with the amount of tax we pay here in Toronto, there would be a better road maintenance program..... Im riding my new XB12 and I hit a thin but approx 4-5 inch deep pothole at around 30-40MPH coming off the hightway..SHIT...grabbed my front wheel..heard the front forks compress, and REALLY felt the thud in the hands.... Can this type of a hit bend/warp my forks, frame or damage anything I should check out before heading back up to high speeds? I dont wanna find out I have an issue at 120KM +..... The wheel itself, check for a dent along the rim edge. |

And look at a few other key stress points. Worth a fine tooth comb check-over. Take your time, check twice, look for clues as well as evidence. You're probably fine, but an hour spent in detail can sometimes save a faceplant later. Peace of mind is worth an hour of your time. Bomber, email coming your way, not bike related, but will include bike related stuff as well. |

JooJoo...If your rim is bent and don't know where to go to get it straightened, check with the local BMW Clubs. The BMW rims are fragile and are constantly being spooned back into shape provided there are no cracks. |
