It looks good to me, as long as it has the correct baffles in it and wont burn up the valves. Also are you running stock ecm? I dont need the speed just the harley sound. edited by blake on April 13, 2004 |

Phillip, Please understand, BadWeB does not allow advertising by non-sponsors. Feel free to post a single ad/link on the "Links" page if you like, but please do not advertise elsewhere. Thank you for understanding. On topic... Will be interesting to see the dyno results if you ever decide to actually test your exhaust. Some free advice... Strongly suggest you fashion a robust front mount. Without one, I predict catastrophic fatigue failure at/near the header-pipe to muffler welded joint. Blake (structural analyst by profession, Buell enthusiast by choice) PS: Try setting your jpg pic quality to a lower level (around 70%) to increase the size of the pics without losing quality as displayed on a computer screen. Even better, try the image optimizer or jpeg optimizer at www.xat.com . edited by blake on April 13, 2004 |

Sort of on topic. I just bought a 9R, and a while ago I was given the exhaust from a 12 by our sales dept. (they put on a race kit for a customer and he didn't want the stocker). If I fix the gate in the short tube position would it be similar to the race pipe ? How do you folks think it would perform and sound. Nobody at work had an answer. They're probably tired of all my crazy ideas. |

Just wire the valve in bypass mode and see how it sounds. |

It sounds like a stock exhaust - that's what it is. If you want sound you'll need to buy an aftermarket pipe. |

This is an update for everyone, the pipe is working great however with the intake changes i made at high speeds on the highway the bike starts to lean out, just enough to make the engine light come on. So i am getting my ecm remapped, i will post the dyno test results both before and after the remap look for it in about two weeks. |
