has anyone painted their bulb housing silver to improve reflection? i checked the kv, but couldn't find anything. |

try white high-gloss enamel. put it on THICK. i did this to a couple bikes years ago, because the cheap plastic chrome was wearing thin. better results than silver. |

Yeah there's 2 different schools of thought (as puffinstuff has eluded to): 1) silver/chrome- REFLECTS light out, with the hopes/intentions of there being more light to see and making it brighter 2) bright white or similar- absorbs light, but creates a bright surface to be seen Not really sure which would be more effective? The bright white would be interesting to try... |

thanks for the input. i painted it metallic silver w/ a thick clearcoat (had these at the house). took pics, but can't tell difference til it's lit. made it alot brighter, or it seems that way. |
