Does anyone know "FOR SURE" what the final drive ratio on the 08 / 09 XB's is? Also, does anyone know if the primary chain gearing is different from earlier models on the 08 /09's? I've been told so many things I don't know what to believe anymore. The number I was given as the stock belt ratio is 2.41???

The ratios are the same, but the chains/sprockets in the primary are different.

Here is the specs on a 2009 XB12R (From Buell.com)

Secondary Drive Ratio 2.407 (65/27)
Transmission type 5-speed, Helical gear design
Transmission Ratio, 1st 2.648
Transmission Ratio, 2nd 1.892
Transmission Ratio, 3rd 1.407
Transmission Ratio, 4th 1.166
Transmission Ratio, 5th 1



Oh yea, XB9 models have a different Primary chain ratio: Primary Drive Ratio 1.676 (57/34)
