I do like Court's solution. The digi camera has been added to my backpack. Never know when I might catch them in the act of raising my insurance. |

I think all of you guys need to relax. there are a couple of buddies of mine on that video and none of them carry insurance becuase most of the time insurance wownt pay for it anyway. so most of them arent really making your insurance that high. actually most of the reason insurance is as high as it is right now is because of theft. now i dont ride like that i love my bike and i am not into destroying it, but i dont care if someone else wants to go out and have some fun doing something other than driving around corners all the time. and i know that none of you can tell me that every single time you go out riding you dont deserve a ticket for something. i know that all of you speed all the time and bitch about not being able to find anywhere to ride where the cops will leave you alone. so everyone of you needs to calm down. and just let everyone enjoy them selves the way they want to. and if they kill themself well that their problem not yours. plus its fun to watch.

I gotta agree with Anon guys. My insurance (full coverage) is only $450 a year. Seems to me you must have some other stuff on your records or you need to shop around. I personally also own this video and a few others and I think they are a blast to watch. I agree that trying to stand on the seat of your bike in the middle of a three lane highway is pretty stupid and you should be caught and prosecuted.
A lot of that footage was shot in parking lots and abandonded highway and it's just kids having fun. Truth is those guys have some talent to be able to handle their bikes the way they do. You can find plenty of people on this board that have ridden roads WAY above the speed limit and endangered the lives of those around them. I suppose Eric never popped a wheelie on a public road either??? You gotta remember, if these guys are doing these stunts everytime they ride, they will not be riding for very long. |

I am fine with them doing the stunts. It does take talent. I am not fine with the ones who are doing it on public roads in traffic. If they injure or kill themselves, thats one thing. But I find it unacceptable to put others at risk just to look cool.
For those that are doing it resposibly, I say keep it up, enjoy. |

Anon - my problem is, as Doughnut pointed out, the ones that pull that shit on public roads - which by definition means that they have insurance.
Sure, we all speed. I speed in my truck, too. We DON'T all do 70mph wheelies down the freeway, stand on the seats, etc. Which one do you think is more dangerous to others? |

OK... OFF topic, but on topic. In regards to Koz's post ($450), if you're paying a lot, try Dairyland. They've been great to me and are thousands, yes, thousands less than anything I've been quoted... A lot of this will vary on your geographic area though. |

I go through Dairyland as well. I pay about $450 for full coverage. I was surprised when they told me. I went to two other places and they were no where near that rate. |

Dairyland gave me the lowest quote by far when going through Harley's insurance comparison. My family's multicar policy happened to be less, but without their affiliation the Dairyland was the best. |

Well that makes em stupider than I thought, so when they slam their bike into a minivan and kill or injure some Kids from their moronic behavior the family will suffer more cause some jack off squid has no insurance.

PRogressive, $560 year full coverage low deductables clean record 34. That is til I swap it over to AZ insurance...then its going to go up due to the high theft rate here in AZ. |

It's the deductibles that will get you at Progressive .
I have mandatory high deductibles as defined by the wife.
Progressive quoted me around $1000, clean licenses, 44 ,living in CT, that was after they realized I had the XB9, they originally assumed I was talking about the X1 which was around $650, needless to say I am paying $650..then this week they sent me a letter asking me to consider them in the future for insurance..jeez ..now they don't even know who their customers are ! |

Progressive initially raised my rate, then I went through and compared the parts prices with a rep to my Ninja which was less expensive to insure, a month later they settled on the $560 which is less then my Ninja per year. |

I'm 27 in NC, clean record, and my S3 runs 850 a year with GMAC and a 250 ded. Progressive quoted me 2500 a year with 500 ded.

I'm paying about $570 a year for liability coverage here in New Jersey with Rider Insurance Company. That covers both my XB9S and my DRZ 400. Semi clean record, 54 yrs old. |

I am definitely going to introduce my children to motorcycling early, but I don't look forward to the $$$ cost. Maybe by then I'll have bond money in the bank??? Doubt it... |
