Finally ordered the Crossroads bars. Is there anything special that I need to do for this install? Should be a simple bolt on right? Guess I should have asked this before hand. |

I had to re-route switch cables etc. I did not need drop my fork tubes, but others did... Do a board search on crossroads install. There use to be a good thread, including photos. Its not as simple as four bolts, but it is not rocket science either. Good Luck! |

Still working on mine on a 07 XB12Ss...lots of fun...lol. Some have had no issues at all...others varying degrees of problems that need to be over come. Some have dropped the forks others not. The cables either fit in between the forks or not. You can run cables in between forks and screen module or run them up and through the side of the module. Do a search of crossroads and cables and start reading...lol. The directions are pretty good...not great. Have fun and ask questions. I'm still getting binding in the throttle/ cable at full left lock...not sure what if anything I can do to alleviate it...we'll see. They look cool though...just hope it all works out...been a bit of a mission for sure. Good luck man. |

If you get stuck, I'll take some photos of mine for you. I'm not going to take it all apart to illustrate the step by step process... LOL Just take your time. It takes a little ingenuity, not serious mechanical skill. It is worth it, and you will be happy with the end result. |

Also - If you don't want to drop your forks, removing the Gauge Cluster makes it a lot easier to re-route the control cables (and its really easy to do). Just remove the flyscreen (4 allen bolts), unplug the cable from the gauge cluster, and remove the gauge cluster from the flyscreen mount (3 hex bolts). Some of the people selling aftermarket gauge cluster faceplates have detailed directions and photos of this disassembly. |

Thanks Pat. Coops, that's the game plan. I can't wait. They'll be here on Thursday. |

Finished the install on Friday and I'm loving the new riding position. The bars are awesome quality!! I didn't have any real issues with the install other than having to drill a hole for the throttle cables due to binding. |

Are you bent over a lot with those bars? I like to be more upright, but love the look of the crossroads. |

I'll be out of town for a few weeks. I'll try to put some pics up when I get back. 984, I'm not bent to much, but it did take a day or so to get use to the riding position. |
