Is the low seat and suspension compatable with an SS, or would you have to start with a XB12S or XB9SX? |

The seat will not fit, neither will an SCG suspension. What you can do is get an 06-08 XB12SS suspension and swap it on, it is lower than the 09-10 models. |

Thanks, Froggy. I'm trying to help a girl at work, but she is only 5'2". Probably the best option is to just find a SCG. That's interesting though, I have a 2009 SS, and didn't realize it was different than the 06-08. Is the 09 like the TT? |

Ah, I clicked on your profile so I assume it was your bike. Yes, the 09 SS uses the same suspension as the old STT. They basically merged the two bikes into one for 09. |

Actually, the Ss was designed for people bigger than your 5'2" friend. Too many "normal sized" people complained the original XB bikes were too damned tiny... |

I am happy to trade my XB12Scg for her bike. It's in Fantastic shape but sits too low for me. We have 2 1125R's and this XB12Scg. It's honestly my fav of the 2 but dosnt get ridden as much due to the ride height. (I have it adjusted up but will lower it back to stock for her) I live outside Washington DC |

2yldbuells, She hasn't actually gotten one. She was looking at options in case she didn't find an SCG around here to buy. If you decide to sell it, let me know. |
